Setting up Port Forwarding in the ALLO SmartCare App

Not sure what the ALLO SmartCare App is?  Read all about how to manage your Wi-Fi network and settings from the tips of your fingers.

Now that you’re all caught up, here’s how to set up port forwarding:

How to Set Up Port Forwarding in the ALLO SmartCare App

  • Go to the Main page
  • Tap Port Forwarding
  • Tap Edit at the top right corner
  • Tap Add Port Forwarding at the bottom of the page
  • Tap Application to bring up a list of different applications with port forwarding rules.
  • Select an Application, or choose Add New Application Type at the bottom of the list
    • To select on iPhone, tap away from the scrolling list to have it update with the chosen application or new Application info.

If choosing an Application

  • Tap on LAN Host/IP Address
  • Select either LAN Host or IP Address.
    • If LAN Host is selected, tap on LAN Host and select the device the port forwarding will go to.
      • To select on iPhone, tap away from the scrolling list to have it update with the chosen device’s info.
    • If IP Address is selected, tap on IP Address to type in the device IP Address of the device the port forwarding will go to.

If choosing Add New Application Type

  • Tap Application and type in the name of the port forwarding rules you want to add.
  • Tap Remote Start Port and type in the starting port.
    • If you are only adding one port, you do not need to fill out the other port fields.
  • If adding a sequential group of numbers (i.e. 486; 487; 488; etc), tap Remote End Port and enter the final number in the sequence.
  • If adding local port forwarding, tap Local Start Port and enter the local port to forward.
  • Tap Protocol and select either TCP, UDP, or TCP/UDP.
    • To select on iPhone, tap away from the scrolling list to have it update with the chosen protocol.
  • Tap on LAN Host/IP Address
  • Select either LAN Host or IP Address.
    • If LAN Host is selected, tap on LAN Host and select the device the port forwarding will go to.
      • To select on iPhone, tap away from the scrolling list to have it update with the chosen device’s info.
    • If IP Address is selected, tap on IP Address to type in the device IP Address of the device the port forwarding will go to.
