Viewing Your Home Network in the ALLOIQ App

Ever wonder which Wi-Fi unit your smart TV is talking to, or why a tablet in the bedroom seems a little sluggish? The Home Network screen gives you a complete, visual map of your entire home setup—showing your main ALLO router, any mesh extenders, and all your connected devices in one easy-to-read view.

What You Can See at a Glance

  • 🗺️ A Visual Map of Your Home: See your main ALLO router and all mesh extenders, plus how they connect to one another.

  • 📱 Where Devices Are Connected: Quickly see which router or mesh unit each phone, laptop, smart TV, or gaming console is communicating through.

  • 📶 Real-Time Signal Strength: Check signal strength bars next to each device and extender to see how strong their Wi-Fi connection is.

  • 🔌 Wired vs. Wireless: Spot whether a device is plugged directly in with an Ethernet cable or connected wirelessly over Wi-Fi.

  • 🔍 Filter by Network: Easily filter devices by network name (SSID), such as seeing just the devices on your Guest Network versus your Primary Wi-Fi.

How to View and Use Your Network Map

  1. Open the ALLOIQ app.

  2. From the Home screen, tap the Home Network shortcut under Quick Links.

  3. Browse the map to see:

    • Your main ALLO router and any mesh extenders.

    • All active devices grouped under the specific unit they’re connected to.

    • Signal strength bars for each connected device.

  4. Need more details? Tap on any individual device to see its connection details or update its settings!

Helpful Tip: Understanding Signal Strength

Seeing fewer Wi-Fi bars on a device? Distance, thick walls (like brick or concrete), metal objects, and household electronics can all reduce signal strength. If a device has a weaker connection, try moving it closer to your router or extender—or consider adding an ALLO mesh extender to blanket that area in fast, seamless coverage!
